Home Tadamon

The COVID-19 pandemic is having a major impact on already-fragile economies in the Middle East and North Africa. The Tadamon programme, supported by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) aims to contribute to the immediate and medium-term efforts to prevent, contain and respond to negative impacts of COVID-19 on the youth in Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Libya and Somalia/Somaliland
The programme focuses on health in emergencies, higher education, job creation and supporting SMEs to survive and thrive in the pandemic. Higher and vocational training for medial staff and youth will link skills to COVID-19 related jobs. Supplies of protection equipment to health facilities and psycho-social counselling are also provided. Refugee women and youth will be linked to job placements and start-ups will be supported in freelance and home-based businesses.
