Economic Resilience through COVID-19

Many companies and start-ups are vulnerable as a result of months of nation-wide lockdowns, staffing issues and financial uncertainty. The closure of these companies jeopardises the jobs and livelihoods of many refugees and vulnerable youth from hosting communities. 

In order to safeguard these jobs, during and after the coronavirus crisis, SPARK and the Qatar Fund for Development are extending direct support to SMEs to help them to repurpose products, services and operational modalities to new customer and market needs, and scale up if possible. The overall aim is to improve employment and income-generation opportunities for refugees, particularly youth and women, in Turkey and Jordan.
